Kenya Weather Station Network
Our flagship network delivers hyperlocal weather data every 2 minutes across Kenya, from the agricultural heartland to coastal communities.
In partnership with WeatherXM, BLCK has deployed 130 professional-grade weather stations across 15+ regions in Kenya—from the agricultural heartland of Nakuru to the coastal communities of Kilifi and Malindi.
What We Measure
Each station captures 8 critical environmental parameters:
- Temperature - Ambient air temperature
- Humidity - Relative humidity levels
- Atmospheric Pressure - Barometric pressure readings
- Wind Speed - Real-time wind velocity
- Wind Direction - 360-degree directional tracking
- Solar Radiation - Incoming solar energy measurement
- UV Index - Ultraviolet radiation levels
- Rainfall - Precipitation accumulation
Data is transmitted every 2 minutes, providing near real-time intelligence for decision-making.
Coverage
Our network spans diverse ecological and agricultural zones:
Highland Regions: Nairobi, Kiambu, Tigoni, Nakuru, Eldoret, Nanyuki, Timau, Embu
Rift Valley: Naivasha, Narok, Maasai Mara
Western Kenya: Kisumu
Coastal Region: Kilifi, Diani, Malindi
